Amelia. This is such a poignant account of a little girl dreaming. Thank you. 🥰

I too got taken to see The Nutcracker as a girl. I was already in ballet classes and danced various styles until I went to university; at one point a professional career was my dream. It's now been almost a decade since I have been physically able to take a dance class and I miss it so much. Continuing to move to the song of our own lives takes a courage few without a disability will understand; thank you so much for writing this.

Love this. Letting go of some dreams is tough, but finding new ones, in a never ending journey to find things that bring you joy, is a great way to live.

I love this, and can vividly imagine you dancing with your bear. Thank you for giving everyone hope and a way to dream. My version of this was literally dreaming. For the 15 years I was bedridden, and couldn't sit, stand, or walk, I would dream that I was a runner, a mountain climber, a dancer, or an astronaut in space where the lack of gravity would allow me to be vertical. I loved sleeping, not just because of the escape but because I could depend on it to free me.

I absolutely love this. What sweet memories you have to look back on. When I was a child, I wanted to be a meteorologist because I was intrigued by weather. While I didn’t technically achieve this dream, my brain actually found a way because of my chronic illness, I predict the weather more accurately than any meteorologist ever could! Now if only I could get paid for it! 🤣
